Leadership Roles
2017 - 2022
Ngee Ann Polytechnic

Academic Positions
Class Representative and Module Representative
In Year 2 Semester 2, I was the class representative where I would convey vital information to class members from our mentor. I was also the module representative for the module Aesthetics and Creative Expression in Year 1. These leadership roles helped me to better my leadership skills and grow a greater sense of responsibility. I also developed my communication skills as I was the person liaising between lecturers and classmates.

Red Camp 2022
Course Representative
During Red Camp 2022, I was chosen to be the course representative for Early Childhood where I got to share my knowledge and experiences being in this course with Secondary School students and ITE students who attended the camp. Being able to represent my course was a very proud moment for me as I felt honoured to share my insights on the course with others. This helped me to better my public speaking skills and be a more confident communicator.

Aerobics Club
Publicity Head AY 22/23
Appointed as the publicity head, I had the vital role of communicating with various clubs to come up with collaborations and managing the Instagram page of the club. Throughout this role, my creativity skills have been challenged and improved as I create various different IG posts to gain more traction from the crowd. Through these opportunities, I have been able to grow as a creative person and use these skills to create innovative resources throughout my course.

HMS Peer Helpers
Head IC AY 21/22
To bring about more support for HMS students at Ngee Ann Polytechnic, my friend and I in collaboration with our lecturer, started a CCA called HMS Peer Helpers. We created an Instagram page and hosted various events to create a safe and positive space for other HMS students. I helped to create and run the Instagram page as well. Throughout the creation of this CCA, my friend and I went through many trying times to find more members to help raise awareness. After many struggles the CCA became an official NP-recognised CCA at the end of 2022.

Chua Chu Kang Secondary

Student Counsellor
2017-2019
Being a student leader has taught me many valuable lessons. A student leader is someone that sets a good example for other students and always strives for the best for the student community. I have come to learn that leadership has played a very important role in my self-improvement. I am now a better team player and am able to face challenges head on without hesitation. I proudly take responsibility for the work I do and feel more confident in taking up bigger responsibilities such as being a lead teacher.

Vice-President Drama Club
2017-2018
As the vice-president, I learnt to lead a large group of students towards victory during SYF performances. I learnt the importance of being a team player and being someone they can count on for anything. This opportunity has provided me with immense responsibility and leadership skills, making me confident in the work that I produce. I was able to learn the importance of communicating with others to understand them better.
